BATTLE LA: LAKERS @ CLIPPERS

The battle for LA NBA Edition resumes last night where we see the LA Clippers and the LA Lakers go at it. Sports right now in Los Angeles are hot, every team is on top if not they are expected to be on top. The Dodges and Magic Johnson just build a team that’s worth more than 2 billion dollars. The Angels just added another big name player to its payroll, even tho so far he has not show the city that he is worth that 125 Million dollar contract (Josh Hamilton). The Kings are still the champions of the NHL and the current Kings of LA; The Los Angeles Lakers who has won 17 NBA Championship and last night they take on the Pacific Division current leader and their roommates at the Staples Center; the LA Clippers. The Clippers, who has never won a division title, nor a conference title and certainly has never won an NBA Championship in their 43 years as an NBA/ABA program.

The Clippers has won each of their meetings against the Lakers this season, and the go for the sweep, something that has never happened before, that explained the type of season their having, wining the most games they have ever won 50+ . The Clippers since adding Chris Paul the Clippers management has been showing the NBA and Lakers that they mean business. This game was very important to both teams the Clippers are fighting for Home court and playoff position and the Lakers are fighting to stay and make it to the playoff after starting of the season very poor even after the major trade that saw the addition of Dwight Howard and Steven Nash, the greatest center in the NBA right now along with one of the greatest point guard of all time but even with those big names Clippers wasn’t going to let that stop them from sweeping the season series against the Lakers and ending their 43 years long title-less drought.

The Lakers open up the game a big 7 point lead over the Clipper, Kobe didn’t go out and try to shoot put rather try to get his team going by facilitating the basketball and that was something that help the Lakers early, but quickly after about the half way mark of the third the Clippers seems to find their groove and got going, they turn a 7(seven) point Lakers lead into a 7-point Clippers lead, and from their on the Clippers never look back. Soon after the when up to a 12-point lead as they continue to force Lakers into bad shots which they then turn into quick points and amazing dunks from Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan and hitting big threes and from there they never look back. As the Lakers continue to put up bad shots, after bad shots without getting back on defense because they was too busy complaining about the lack of foul calling. At one point in the game Dwight Howard went up for a shot and miss the game continues but Howard didn’t he stayed down court and continue arguing with the referee, Coach Vinny Del Negro hell at his team to push the ball up court as he saw that Howard wasn’t going to be up there and the Clippers was able to get a quick and easy shot.

The Clippers finish the game strong as they could have smell that first franchise trophy, as the beat the Los Angeles Lakers for the third time this season 109 to 95 capturing that first trophy for the franchise. Clippers leading scorer Chris Paul finish the game with 24 Points; 4 Rebounce and 12 assists, Blake Griffin also throw in 24 points, Jamal Crawford scored 20 off the bench as he try to capture another Sixth-man of the year award. Although Kobe came out looking to dish hes a scorer so we all know we would get his share of points Kobe finish the game with 25 points, 10 assists and 7 Boards capturing a double-double. With this Lost the Lakers fell to a half of game behind the 8th Place Utah Jazz.
