It was a big day here in the Bronx, New York as the Captain return to the Lineup a new coming help lift the Yanks over the Rays; as well as a glimpse of the Old.

Today Yankee game stated like no other first it started with the retiring of the number 55 of Hideki Matsui; who signed a one-day contract with the Yankees who then retired as a Yankees. After that the game started and as the captain return at his first at bat with his second return attempt of the season and playing short -The Yankees Captain #2 Derek Jeter step up to the plate as he as always introduce by  The Yankee great Bob Sheppard; as he step into the batters box the Yankees fateful chant for their beloved captain. Derek Jeter saw a first pitch fast ball that he took to left center off Matt Moore, Derek Jeter ended up wit a 2-for-4 day ending the Yankees 9 game homerun less streak as well as 23 games by a right-hander. With that homerun it felt like it wasn't a surprise even i called it saying Derek Jeter will hit a homerun on his first at bat; it just something that seems likely Derek Jeter always step up in big moments over his career; and that's the reason why he even became the face and captain of the most successful sport franchise.  The Yankee fan showed the support to their captain and so did the rest of the team. Ichiro Suzuk started off and had a 4-for-4 night with a few RBI's followed Alfonso Soriano who went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run and had also with a walk off hit at the bottom of the 9th to compete the captain story-book return.
