Lincoln Motor Company today showed off their new up and coming MKC Crossover base on the MKC Concept car. The MKC retained much of its winning design from the concept car and in fact i think the MKC is a winner and probably the best looking car in this new compact crossover segment where the BMW X1 dominates in the USA; and the AUDI Q3 and BMW X1 around the world. This segment a money making segment for the luxury automakers an its sure is heating up; Audi and BMW will soon have 3 new players in the field by the ending of next year; the new GLA from Mercedes Benz is set to launch next year; as well the Lexus NX which showed off its compact concept design with the LF NX, that concept is very extreme in design and probably will be the most dramatic design in the class which means lots of head turning for better or for worst; however the Lexus NX may see lots of sales as the Lexus RX does bring in lots of customers into the Lexus Showrooms; and Of there is the Lincoln MKS, which probably will be the sleeper of the bunch because of Lincoln current repetition of proving Fords remakes; the new MKZ is build on the Fusion platform and includes the Fusion drive train; and that will be the case for this MKC it’s base and build on the Ford escape platform and both will share the same engine!

Jim Farley, Lincoln Executive, once said that Lincoln was no a Luxury brand! something that I would agree with and say the same for GM, Cadillac.
Along most of MKC engine option will be watch the escape offers. The 2015 MKC will be the first to offers Ford new Turbocharged 2.3 Liter Four Cylinder Ecoboost engine; which will go head to head with Toyota new 2.0 Liter Turbocharged Four cylinder engine that will showed up on the NX and more Lexus vehicles;
The 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder offers best-in-class performance even when measured against competitors’ six-cylinder engines. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost offers projected best-in-class horsepower per liter and best-in-class torque per liter, generating 275 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 300 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,000 rpm, according to preliminary test data.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost, standard on MKC, generates 240 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 270 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,000 rpm, according to preliminary test data.

The 2015 MKC from Lincoln is certainly a winner in my mind it offeres fresh design; a beautiful one at that too; I feel that the MKZ and MKC are alot more beautiful than both the ATS CTS and SRX although might not be a great performance vehicles; they other better design as well as a innovation and I think there is actually a more better market for those type of vehicle and Lincoln will have a much easier time selling its vehicle’s over Cadillac i say this simple because, Cadillac is aiming it cars at BMW Mercedes Audi and Lexus , if you havent relaized those companies have well glued buyers BWM sees the 3 Series buyers return MB has the E Class Buyers, Audi has the A6 buyers and Lexus comes with the RX and ES buyers and most of those buyers buy the car for its luxury and prestige ability, Cadillic doesnt showcase that all they door is talk about speed and performance which may click with the younger buyers, but the money buyers aka the buy in bunches buyers wont enjoy it so much, on the other hand yes Lincoln goes after the ES yes bad move but the MKZ is easier to fit in! The MKZ is also a spectacular vehicle design wise it honestly didn’t takeoff as i had though til this day i only saw one MKZ and I blame Lincoln for this because they went an put the car up against the best selling car from a brand that’s on a roll Lexus and also giving Lexus ES free publicity with its new and latest commercials.
Like I said this new 2015 MKC is a beautiful car both inside and outside, the MKZ will make its official debut next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
