Dress in a beautiful red pain the mustang gas a new shape a departure from the iconic shape we have come to love and embrace, from the side it ore resemble a Honda Accord Coupe. The front feature a 3 LED DRL strip matching the LED taillights. The Mustang is very aggressive looking however not a powerful aggression. Overall we are very disappointed by the design simple because there was so much hype behind this car an ford didn’t live up to that hype, design wise.

The new Mustang is launching with 2 new engine.

A brand new 5.0Liter V8 engine capable of pushing out more than 420 horsepower!

& a new 2.3Liter Inline 4 Twin Turbo Ecoboost engine delivering 305 horsepower!

5.0L V8 ENGINE STATS

Displacement: 5.0-liter naturally aspirated SPFI V8

Construction: Aluminum block and heads

Valvetrain: DOHC, four valves per cylinder, twin independent variable camshaft timing

Compression ratio: 11:1

Output: More than 420 horsepower, more than 390 lb feet of torque

Transmissions: Getrag six-speed manual, SelectShiaft six-speed automatic with steering wheel-mounted paddles

A great V8 engine is key to the visceral experience of driving Ford Mustang, and the acclaimed 5.0-liter V8 is the ideal powerplant for this driver’s car. The new cylinder heads, valvetrain and intake manifold ensure this V8 breathes freely from idle all the way to 7,000 rpm. The all-new Mustang GT is projected to generate more than 420 horsepower and 390 lb feet of torque. Final power and torque ratings will be announced closer to launch.

  • Straighter intake ports in the cylinder head improve flow for high-rpm breathing
  • New intake manifold features charge motion control valves to partially close off port flow at lower engine speeds. This increases the air charge tumble and swirl for improved air-fuel mixing resulting in better fuel economy, idle stability and lower emissions
  • forged steel crankshaft balanced to support higher-rpm operation with less vibration

2.3L ECOBOOST ENGINE STATS

Displacement: 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four

Construction: Aluminum block and head with integrated exhaust manifold

Valvetrain: DOHC, four valves per cylinder, twin independent variable camshaft timing

Compression ratio: 9.5:1

Output: More than 305 horsepower, more than 300 lb feet of torque

Transmissions: Getrag six-speed manual, SelectShift six-speed automatic with steering wheel-mounted shift paddles

Specifically tuned for use in Mustang, the all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine brings the performance Mustang drivers expect and the ability to deliver projected best-in-class fuel economy. Turbocharging, direct injection and twin independent variable camshaft timing are projected to deliver more than 305 horsepower and more than 300lb of torque.
  • First use of a twin-scroll turbocharger on a Ford engine for more power and quicker acceleration response
  • High-flow cylinder head with integrated exhaust manifold
  • Forged steel connecting rods and crankshaft, steel piston ring carriers for durability
  • Balance shaft for smooth operation

MUSTANG FACTS:

  • The V8 in the new Mustang is the first Ford engine to utilize mid-lock variable camshaft timing phasers on the intake camshaft to provide a greater range of timing adjustment. This enables more optimized control of the valve timing over a broader range of engine speeds and loads for improved fuel economy and emissions.
  • Delivering two separate exhaust streams to the turbo preserves pulse energy for quicker torque delivery when the driver needs it for passing maneuvers and similar performance to a twin-turbocharger configuration.

Although overall a bit disappointed the engines we would consider a success, and are looking forward to drive it next year.
