NY, New York – All BMW M4 DTM teams; an all 8 (eight) drivers was on hand at the Hungaroring Race Track today testing the brand new upcoming BMW M4 DTM racing vehicle. The Hungaroring Race Track has been the site of BMW M4 DTM continuous testing and over the past 4(four) days; the team at BMW and M4 DTM drivers was able to test the aerodynamics and chassis of the vehicle. With only a month left until the teams take the track for real, they ran a few practice laps, qualifying and simulation run, including testing and practicing pit stops; which is an important part of any race and maybe the second most important job on a race team apart from the crew chief position. The Drivers seems to be excited as they all made positive comments after the day was over about their overall experience! BMW Team Driver; Bruno Spengler who currently is the driver for the BMW Schnitzer team. made a few comments about his overall experience so far with the new car.
“We completed a varied programme, and got a lot of laps under our belts,”
“It was great to be back with the team and to switch into race mode. The focus was not entirely on quick times, but we did discover that we are certainly heading in the right direction.”
Joey Hand, Who Drivers for Team RMB stated:
“I had never been to Hungary before, so logically this was my first time at the Hungaroring. I really like the circuit, as it nestles nicely in the landscape. It reminds me of iconic circuits like Road America and Road Atlanta in the USA. Up until now my only knowledge of the Hungaroring came from video games. Looking ahead to the race in June, that made it all the more important for me to be able to complete a lot of test laps here.”
Hungaroring Race Track is set to be the location of the 3rd way of the season! Rookie DTM driver Antonio Felix da Costa of Team MTEK – was able to gain some experience on option tyres; and commented that
“the speed of the car was great”
however he felt that it was too early to compare the M4 DTM to his rivals; other drivers was quoted that he felt right at home in the DTM M4. SMADE MEDIA was most of all looking to finally catch a glimpse of all the teams that will be driving the new M4 DTMs and how these cars are compared to the recent and new Lexus Racing RC F GT3. Base on looks alone we think that the team liveries for each car both the Lexus Teams and BMW Teams looks stunning the Lexus RC F GT3 however seems to have much more of a personality on the track with that one of a kind spindle grille. With the Arrow head DRLs and the RC F new square-ish headlights it set the car even more apart from what’s on the track. However the BMW also has its share of personality on the track as well with its “ANGEL EYES” LEDs. But the Lexus RC F just simple stand apart. A day after the BMW DTM team finish testing the new M4 DTM Racecars; we finally get to see the teams and there liveries that will be driving BMW M4 in the upcoming season.
What do you guys think of the new M4 DTM and how do they compare to the RC F GT3 and others on the track ON LOOKS ALONE?!
