This ALL-STAR game will be a special one to watch for all New Yorkers; Derek Jeters Fans; New York Yankees fan,and yes BASEBALL FANS; because this will not only be Derek Jeter 14th MLB ALL-STAR appearance but it will be his last and just like last year with Mariano Rivera, who retired last season, many of the MLB teams pay tribute to him, even though for most years Mariano Rivera spend all his time with the Yankees; winning championships and closing out the other teams sending them home empty-handed. However we all know that Mariano Rivera, was not just an awesome Pitcher and Closer but an awesome person, he spend many of his off days helping the less fortunate and kids all over the world, he was also the last person able to wear the fully retired 42 number of the great Jackie Robinson. Derek Jeter, one of the most loved/hated but choose to love person in baseball, not only has he also been a Yankee all his life, he was the face of the Most expensive sports franchise in the world, and doing it while winning after winning, lets say hes very lucky that he was handsome, Just like Mo, DJ or the Captain, as accomplish so many things in baseball Mariano Rivera, the all time save leader, Derek Jeter, Yankees all time hits leader with over 3000 hits; something that has only been done a few times before. However you look at it hate him are love him it his last and for such a wonderful player he deserve everything.

MLB is also conducting a 92-Hour voting blitz in which unique campaign alliances will form, digital balloting records likely will be smashed and you will decide on a position player for the National League and a pitcher for the American League.

Managers Mike Matheny of the NL and John Farrell of the AL, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, have presented you with five nominees so you can decide the 34th and final roster spots for the 85th All-Star Game on July 15 at Target Field in Minnesota. Balloting is underway until 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, and winners will be announced soon after on MLB.com.
