BRONX, NEW YORK | July 27 | A Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-900ER (9F2) registration TC-JYA was damages at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (KAN/DNKN) in Kano, Nigeria due to a fueling truck park near the aircraft caught fire. The airplane receive manor damages and no one was hurt in the accident, The aircraft operating Turkair 587 (TK587) arriving from Istanbul landing at Kano International at 10:15PM local time and was due to continue on to N’Djamena International Airport (NDJ/FTTJ) in N’Djamena, Chad before returning back home; to the airline hub at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey.
Turkish Airlines has yet to comment on the matter, the damage aircraft was towed away to a hangar where it will be inspected to check for more damage and other problems. Another aircraft was flown in to accommodate passages flying back too Istanbul and Chad.

Turkish Airlines currently has an order for 17 Next Gen 737 aircraft and 50 of the upcoming revamp 737 know as the 737MAX.
