A 600 horsepower 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo engine with BMW M Twin Power Turbo technology. The M engineers rework the outgoing model’s power unit, with a newly developed turbocharger, ultra-efficient indirect charge air cooling and increased fuel injection pressure together help to raise output and, above all, torque. The V8 bi-turbo delivers 441 kW/600 HP around 5,600 – 6,700 RPM, while a monumental 750 NM (553 lb-ft) of torque is placed at the driver’s disposal from as low down as 1,800 RPM and remains there until 5,600 RPM. The M5 also features BMW M xDrive an all-wheel-drive system made specifically for M cars, helping this monster to a 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) time of 3.4 seconds, 0 to 120 mph (193 km/h) in 10 seconds; a top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h), however with the optional M Driver’s Package you can hit 189 mph (305 km/h).
